THE POSITION

A dedicated and versatile leader is required to coordinate the operation and maintenance storage facility located near  . The facilities include product injection pumping and a brine system (including storage ponds and pumping), as well as utilities (flare system, air supply, nitrogen supply, water supply, power supply, etc.). The facilities include a molecular sieve system complete with regeneration. Construction is currently underway for the project.

The leader will be involved in the project before mechanical completion and will cover the commissioning, start up, and operation phases. This role will be responsible for ensuring a safe and successful wash of the two caverns, along with preparation and set up for introduction of hydrocarbon to the facility. The position will report to the Plant and Maintenance Manager, Midstream.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Ultimately responsible for all operations of the Facility

Lead the commissioning of the plant (both commissioning Phase and Hydrocarbon Phase)

Responsible for Operations and the supervision of site-based operations personnel



Accountable for the overall health and safety of the operating facility

Responsible for the operating cost budget

Lead the development of the operating and maintenance procedures

Plan and execute operations transition from Wash Phase to hydrocarbon storage

Lead in the start-up of the facility (introduction of hydrocarbon)

Represent Veresen in the community and with stakeholders


QUALIFICATIONS

Extensive and proven experience with commissioning and operations of facilities

6-8 years of experience in midstream facilities operation preferred

Relevant technical certification (such as ABSA or TSASK 3rd Class or better Power Engineerís Certificate)

Ability to effectively lead both individual and team-based operations efforts

Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to plan work and prioritize deadlines

Strong computer skills; experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word would be beneficial

Valid Class 5 Alberta or Saskatchewan Vehicle Driverís License

Certification in WHIMIS, First Aid, TDG, H2S Alive, Oil/Gas Operations Training (SAIT GPO/PFO) and/or other relevant courses is considered an asset


Compensation: negotiable
